"Adolfo of the Dos Hermanos fame was elated when I was talking to him on the pier a few days ago. He was telling me the currents have now changed and the Roosters are back. He said he will have excellent fishing from now through December," he said. Adolfo's clients have taken 12 Roosters and many Jack Cravalle on conventional gear over a five day span.
"We had a great day yesterday (Saturday) taking 5 nice roosters and I was back at my house by noon," sources said. "Plus, Russ Hampton of Saltwater Fly Rodders from Los Angeles fly fished on the Dos Hermanos II with Cheva at the helm, hooking 6 Roosters and catching 2 on the fly in two days of fishing.
The Marlin and Sailfish are mixed in with the pods of porpoise and better yet; everything wants to bite. The Tuna are wide ranging in sizes, from 10 pound footballs to 80 pound keepers, with the bigger fish being taken on live bait.
